It had only diffusion in the year of its publication, maintaining a low volume of sales. Years later, he achieved great fame in England, considering it essential to read in schools and colleges. William Golding is an English writer and poet, William Golding was born in Newquay on September 19, 1911. He is considered one of the great authors in the English language of the 20th century.
Of family very active socially and politically, Golding studied in Oxford English literature, publishing his first collection of poems in 1934. After the Second World War, in which he participated as a member of the British Navy, he managed to publish in 1954 his first and best known novel, entitled The Lord of the Flies.
To carry out this task I made an imaginary interview with author William Golding, in order to know the context in which he lived and how he influenced the creation of the characters Jack and Ralph, and his attitude and personality throughout of the whole plot of the story, that is, the moment in which both characters form different sides, one about savagery and the other about communism and common sense. And so we can understand the behavior of these characters and be able to discuss whether or not these attitudes are correct.
